Almost Locals Only Podcast: X-MEN Attack the Hungover Kung Fu Block
After taking the week off for the Memorial (or is it Labor day?) Holiday were back with another episode of Almost Locals Only. John is joined by Shannon & Nat from Frothy Girlz. We have a review packed show featuring X-Men: First Class and then play catch up with reviews of The Hnagover Part II and Kung Fu Panda 2. Closing out reviews is a review of John’s favorite film of SXSW 2011 Attack the Block. In Cinema News and Views we discuss 3D falling out of favor with more than just film fans as investors and producers have begun to sour on the tech. We also dive into a bit of presentation snobbishness and iPhone film viewing. Due to being front loaded with reviews trailer vs trailer takes another episode off but will be back with potential award winning guest on the next episode! Thus we jump directly into what we watched covering the cult classic Santa Sangre, SXSW 2010 flick Red, White & Blue, Fantastic Fest throwback Black Death, 2009′s seemingly overlooked Fantastic Mr. Fox, and close out with 1984 Best Picture winner Amadeus.
