RIP Elizabeth Taylor
Screen icon Elizabeth Taylor has died at the age of 79 after a long series of health problems. Taylor was a MGM star and made her screen debut in 1942, but it wasn’t until 1944 when she appeared in National Velvet that she truly became a star.
She went on to win two Oscars during her lifetime, and was awarded a humanitarian award by the Academy in 1993.
