The Vanity Fair Hollywood Issue

Each year Vanity Fair magazine picks several actors that are featured on their annual “Hollywood” issue.  The magazine has a reputation for staging some truly beautiful photography, and the issue is generally highly anticipated.

For its 17th annual Hollywood issue, the magazine selected 15 stars.  Featured on the cover are:

  • Ryan Reynolds (The Proposal, Buried, and the upcoming Green Lantern)
  • Jake Gylenhaal (Brokeback Mountain, Love and Other Drugs, Zodiac)
  • Anne Hathaway (current it-girl, The Devil Wears Prada, co-hosting the Oscars later this month)
  • James Franco (the ubiquitous actor is an Academy Award nominee, writer, artist, student, and teacher)
  • Jennifer Lawrence (breakout star for the Academy Award nominated Winter’s Bone)
  • Anthony Mackie (The Hurt Locker, Million Dollar Baby, Eagle Eye)
  • Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy, House)
  • Jesse Eisenberg (star of The Social Network; Academy Award nominee)
  • Mila Kunis (Black Swan, The Book of Eli)
  • Robert Duvall (all around legendary actor, The Godfather, Apocolypse Now)
  • Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer, Inception)
  • Andrew Garfield (The Social Network, Let Me Go, star of the upcoming Spiderman reboot)
  • Rashida Jones (The Office, I Love You Man, Parks and Rec)
  • Garrett Hedlund (Country Strong, Tron: Legacy)
  • Noomi Rapace (The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo trilogy)

Inside the issue, Academy Award nominees are featured in pictorials. is reporting that photographer Norman Jean Roy completed the shoot over the course of two days. You can read more about the shoot on the VF website.  The issue goes on sale in LA and NY on February 3, and the rest of us poor saps can pick it up on February 8.
