I skipped Taken at the theaters 'cause the trailer was so lame for it, but it blew me away on DVD. "Wax on, Wax off" is a tongue-in-cheek reference to Robert Mark Kamen, who also wrote the screenplay for the Karate Kid. The only movie I ever walked out off was 1999s Midsummer Night's Dream...and it felt so good to leave, like giving a big middle finger to Hollywood. NPR loved it.
