Bourbon Balls

What you need:

1 [12oz] package vanilla wafers, finely crushed [approx 3 cups]

1 cup confectioner’s sugar [aka powdered]

1 cup finely chopped pecans

1/4 cup light corn syrup

1 T unsweetened cocoa

1/2 cup bourbon

1/2 cup granulated sugar

What you do:

In a large bowl, thoroughly mix all ingredients except granulated sugar. Shape into 1 inch balls [yes, I said balls - get your giggles out now]; roll in granulated sugar. Store in tightly covered container for at least 3 dyas before serving to allow flavors to mellow. Keeps up to 2 weeks. Don’t freeze your balls, please. Makes approx 3 dozen balls.

Happy Holidaze!

The original recipe for these can be found from Gourmet, where they were called Gold Dusted Bourbon Pecan Balls. The Gourmet recipe uses honey instead of corn syrup, which really goes well with the bourbon! I make these almost every year and they are amazing!
