Walmart shoppers captured in all their glory

Last week new blog People of Walmart starting making the viral rounds.  It is simply photos of people shopping at Walmart, and it is unbelievable what some people feel is appropriate to wear in public.  It won’t take you long to wonder if some of these photos were staged.  I wish.  Sadly, this is what a large segment of the United States looks like on any given day.

This is nothing new to me.  I have joked to my husband for years that whenever I find myself in need of a serious confidence kick I head to Walmart.  In my last week of pregnancy, lumbering about like a bloated beast, I was still quite a bit smaller than 98% of the everyday shoppers inhabiting a Walmart in central Missouri.

So, ladies and gentlemen.  Go peruse a whole gallery of people who flat out  quit caring.  The photo links you to the sight, but the traffic has been crashing their server, so you may have to check back in a few days.

I’ve always said the defective people of our society shop at Wal-Mart. I had to go in there in July due to circumstances beyond my control and was truly scared. Like, “Am I going to get jumped in this dimly lit parking lot?” kind of scared. I live in Chicago for Christ’s sake! I see all kinds of weird shit on a daily basis that doesn’t give me pause. Not true for the collection of tweakers and sub-humans I saw there that night.
