Just wanted to say it's great to read a review that has explanations of why the reviewer "feels" the way they do. If you're going to make a point about why you think a film is x, y, or z, explain yourself for god's sake. Kudos to you Nat for an excellent example of film critique. Tired of reading too much shit that comes off as snarky digs and clever phraseology.

I sit here in awe, quivering at the mastery of this work. If you have any doubts, see it again, and then again. Long will this film live in my archives as one among the best films ever made.

Aldo (Brad Pit) while the marquee player of the film, is not the protagonist. Rather it is Soshanna who, as a singular embodiment of all who were victimized by the Holocaust, expresses the film's main conflict of a victim's quest to first evade and then destroy her oppressor. This conflict is well and truly resolved as Soshanna laughs, as goddesslike as Kali, meanwhile consigning to the Hellfires all that is and was the Third Reich.

With a fantastic stroke of altered History, Quentin has allowed the unabated rage and a grief of a generation to be expiated. This is the true and highest calling of mythology, to reconcile conception with Truth.

Thank you Quentin, we got those Nazi bastards at long last. Now we can move on.
