Project Runway Recap

On Lifetime, Football for ladies

Top 3 Project Runway Premiere Moments:

1) The Kansas City contestant, designer Ari Fish being cast as the “CRAZY” designer and then voted off in the first episode. Having viewed this Season’s Premiere with a vocal group of Kansas City ladies (yes I’m using the term loosely) we all believed that Ari would make it through the elimination round unscathed.  Convinced that her outlandish fashion sense would keep her around for at least half of the season, I was shocked that she was the first to go.

2) Nina shooting laser beams out of her eyes at the ugly Mitchell Hall dress. Designer Mitchell Hall sent his model down the runway in a glorified nude nightie with collar, after false measurements killed his little-house-on-the-praries-meets-ombre number.  I could almost see the hatred for this dress magnified into twin beams of taste shooting out of Nina Garcia’s eyeballs

3) Crying Tally: 3. Every season I look for which designer will be pegged as “the crier” and this season it proved harder to predict. By the end of the episode we had a total of 3 designers crying, Christopher Straub, Johnny Sakalis and Ra’mon Lawrence Coleman.  I’m holding out for my first pick for designated crier being Johnny “I was addicted to meth” Sakalis, but only time will tell.

I would like to complain about the lack of Nina Garcia literally shooting lazer beams out’ve her eyes. I read your post before watching the episode, and must sadly report that the ProRun in YOUR world is infinitely more entertaining than the one in mine.

Also: Everyone cries on ProRun. It’s like they hire them after checking whether they’re all emotionally unstable or something.
