I find this quite interesting/exciting. According to Variety, Jackie Earle Haley has signed on to be Freddy Krueger in the upcoming remake of Nightmare on Elm Street. Personally, I feel this is quite a coup for the movie. If Haley can bring half of the intenstity he brought to the character Rorschach in Watchmen, he could be quite a treat to behold as Freddy Krueger. Of course, it all comes down to direction, but this film has just been given a fantastic chance to appeal to naysayers.
